Aquí (here), Allí (there), EVERYWHERE

Well I am SURELY the worst blogger in the entire world...

HOWEVER, I hope you all will forgive me with the photos I have to offer!

¡Que bien!

This week has been terrific, and there is truly NO WAY that it is already almost March.

I'm going to cry.

Time has gone by faster here than I ever imagined possible! I am incredibly depressed about that fact.

Fortunately, I have much to look forward to! 

(My parents visiting in April, my first apartment when I return home, my 21st birthday in July!)

So, I am attempting to remind myself of the GOOD instead of the BAD.

I have officially eaten eel (add that to the list).

I've realized I could be a vegetarian. (if America didn't have Portillos & Qdoba)

I have seen a Roman aqueduct built around 50 A.D.

I have a "cooking class" through our program on Wednesday! 
(Since I have no idea how to make American meals, at least I can compensate with Spanish dishes!)

I feel like I have seen so much since I last blogged that I cannot even 

remember what I haven't written about!

Classes in España are basically the same. Fun, eh?!

Difference: Teachers do not get to class until about 15-20 minutes after class starts!

This is perfect for me.

I shall bring this concept, as well as the siesta, back with me to the United States.

Recently, my friends and I went to a place called Cien Montaditos.

¡ On Wednesdays, EVERYTHING on the menu is 1 euro !

For the adventurous: Order a random number. #1-100. And eat whatever sandwich you are given!

It can be anything from chocolate -to- octopus -to- baby eels!

Mom & Dad come in less than two months!

I'm attempting to plan our trip from: 

Madrid --> Barcelona

Barcelona --> France

Pretty exciting, huh?

My parents get to spend their anniversary in Paris!

Picture below are from a variety of places. Segovia, Toledo, Sevilla, Parque del Retiro, and Córdoba! All absolutely breath-taking.
I would have to say that Córdoba was my favorite. The mosque was something I have studied and heard about for at least 3-4 years...and seeing it first hand was indescribable. Also in Córdoba, they are famous for their rabo de toro... Don't know any Spanish? Here. Let me translate.

Hmm. What did I do today?

Today was absolutely amazing.

This morning, I woke up at 8 am to go to the Madrid Market that is on Sunday mornings!

El Rastro is every Sunday, and vendors line the streets of La Latina (a neighborhood) selling literally everything.

Bras, Underwear, Scarves, Dolls, Pins, Hats, Bags, etc.

I want to go every single Sunday, but then, I will $URELY be begging for change on the street to make it through the rest of my trip.

I bought a bandera (flag) of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza. 

(...mainly because I am obsessed with them, gracias a Senora Rebenstorf!)

Also, we had a walking tour of Madrid.

Interesting, but I'll just post pictures.

Ate a baguette with my lovahs Katie and Jillian for lunch with 

"La Vaca que Rie" cheese (Laughing cow cheese!) Que delicioso.

My day took quite possibly the greatest twist EVER, when a group of us decided to go to Parque del Oeste and relax in the sun. It was about 60+ farenheit here.

I sat outside and suntanned.

My cheeks may be a tiny burnt.

We sat outside amongst the trees for about 2 hours...laughing, tanning, and drinking beer.

It was truly unreal.

I must get ready to go and cheer on my Packers tonight!

Please please please please please take home a win!!!

I'm sorry I've been an absolute TERRIBLE blogger. It takes forever to load pictures because of my low internet, and I have been dreading my attempts to do so! 

However, I will take off my whiny pants, and show you the amazing things I have seen!

Sevilla was terrific.

Just absolutely beautiful, not to mention the undeniable added bonus of hanging with friends of my best friend from home (@Melanie Mackeben). They are studying in Granada, and decided to travel to Sevilla that weekend! What terrific luck I have! :)

I learned a few important phrases in French, thanks to three very drunk men from Belgium (see photo below). Therefore, making me trilingual when it comes to telling Americans, French, or Spaniards to "Shut up!" (and other things that are not permitted for my PG-rated blog).

My lovely Packers play tomorrow. I will be viewing the game from my favorite establishment "Dubliners". 

BE SURE TO CHEER THEM ON! 

Today, Katie, Jillian, and I went to Parque del Retiro.

I have no words to describe this experience. 

It was absolutely breathtaking, especially due to the 60 degree weather! 

It has officially become my new favorite spot to picnic. 

(...even though I've never had a favorite spot to begin with. eh, details.)

I also realized today that each postcard is 80 cents to send to the United States. Ouch.

Hurts my wallet a bit (since that is about $1.50 USD), especially when I realize that each postcard is costing me a caña of beer!

I know you are probably sick of listening to me drone on and on. Therefore, since a picture is worth 1000 words, I shall begin the uploading!

The view from La Giralda. La Giralda is the tower of the cathedral. It is the only part of the Cathedral that has not been renovated or changed. It is 35 ramps up to the top, made of ramps because a man rode a horse up to the top 2x every day to ring the bells!

¡Que asco! =) Haha For those of you that do not know any Spanish... Duro= hard. Grande=long.
